A 50% retainer fee (non-refundable) is due at the time of signing the contract with us. The final 50% payment is due 2 weeks before the day of the wedding. There are no taxes with the exception of the M-disc add-on, which is taxed at your state's sales tax rate as it is a physical product.

A: No, we don't add any background music. You'll hear the natural sounds of your ceremony and reception, preserving the true ambiance of your day. Want music? See the next question.

A: We focus on capturing your day exactly as it happens, without added music, effects, or stylized editing. Our videos are simple, authentic captures of the real emotions of your wedding - not overly-produced cinematic art pieces.

A: Our editing is minimal. We trim the footage to the specified time limits and ensure smooth transitions between shots. We don't add effects, color grading, or slow-motion sequences. Make sure to check out our portfolio, but we curently use all Sony professional cameras and lenses that look fantastic.

How we record audio is largely up to you. We have several options and we would prefer to use as many of them as possible in order to have backups when one might not work the best, but it is totally up to you to approve or deny each of these:

• Body-worn lavalier microphones - we use these predominantly for when we record the ceremony and we mic the groom only (typically the microphone is sensitive enough to capture when the bride is saying.

• Off-camera shotgun microphone - we use shotgun microphones on stands for both the ceremony and the reception. Typically this would require saving two seats towards the middle in the front row of the ceremony and we would put the microphone on one of the chairs with a wireless transmitter hooked up to it.

• Mic-mounted and soundboard audio - We prefer to both hook up to the sound system to record it and mount a smaller microphone to any handheld microphones used for speeches/toasts.

• On-camera microphone - This microphone is sort of a last resort option. Much of the time it works, but it typcally doesn't sound as good in the final product as any of the other options above.

A: The length depends on your package. Ceremony videos are up to 1 hour, reception videos up to 2 hours, and combined packages include both plus some additional footage.

A: We don't. Unfortunately, even if we were large enough of a company to provide a super generous policy of that type, there are far too many variables involved in the creation of a wedding film or a livestream in order to fairly match a price (artistic vision, specific gear, years of experience of each team member involved, other business expenses, etc.). Our pricing is based upon the value that we provide for our clients, which we stand behind.

A: We capture the key moments of your ceremony or reception as they naturally occur. While we can't guarantee specific shots, our experienced videographers know how to capture the essence of your day.

A: Typically we require a 1/2 retainer payment at the time of signing a contract, which secures your date with us. In terms of discounts, one way to bring the price down would be to refer other clients to use Lighthouse for their own wedding films and livestreams. We pay a 10% bounty to anyone who refers a couple that ultimately signs a contract with us.

A: All our packages include one videographer who manages two camera angles on tripods.

A: We offer a turnaround of 14 days for all packages.

A: We cover Central New England with no travel fees. For locations outside this area, please contact us for availability and potential travel fees.

A: You'll receive access to a custom webpage where you can view and download your wedding video.

A: We don't provide raw footage. The edited video you receive is the final product.

A: This package includes 1 hour of ceremony coverage, up to 1.5 hours for the videographer to move and set up equipment, and 2 hours of reception coverage.
